Israel-Sweden Bi-National R&D Project: Wireless Pulse Oximeter

In September 2007, Aerotel Medical Systems, together with Swedish partners, Karolinska University Hospital and TeliaSonera have received a go-ahead for a new joint project called "WiPOX". The aim of the project is to develop and evaluate a unique wireless wrist-wearable pulse oximeter and medical monitoring system. This is the second joint R&D project of the three partners.

This initiative has received approval for partial funding by Vinnova (Swedish side) and MATIMOP (Israeli side), under SIBED (Sweden-Israel Bi-national Testebed Program), which is administered under the umbrella of Eureka. The project duration will be 21 months.
